La Plagne from every angle in new video

Free skier Julian Regnier teamed up with Kevin Rolland to show off all their skills and their home resort, La Plagne in Fast Forward II: The Eclipse.

While Storm Angus was terrorising The British Isles, it was blessing the Alps with unseasonal snowfall, causing early opening in many resorts and a burning desire to be there in everyone else.

This has only got stronger as legendary French free skier Julian Regnier teams up with Kevin Rolland to bring us Fast Forward II: The Eclipse.

Inspired by the viral videos of Candide Thovex that garnered millions of views and a huge interest at the resort where the trilogy was filmed (La Clusaz), the second instalment of the fast forward series has over 42,000 views in just under two weeks.

Black Crows lead ski designer Reginier, truly lives up to his legend as the pair flip, twist and trick their way across the resort of La Plagne, exhibiting the versatility of the slopes.

Neon skis and fire jumps flow seamlessly into the night life of La Plagne as the couple use every available surface to showcase their skills. A resort renowned for its family atmosphere, the pair reveal the often overlooked après ski that should be factored into any decision when booking aski holiday in France.

In a dizzying five and a half minutes of eye watering stunts, it gets all of us itching to get out on the powder and attempt some of the (smaller) jumps ourselves.

Free Skiing is gaining in popularity as people move away from snowboarding as the cool snow sport of choice and look for faster and adrenaline filled routes down traditional pistes.

With shaped dual tips and fat skis, the versatility of the humble ski is being pushed past its limits and further into terrain parks away from its traditional image. But whether you prefer snowboards or skis, check out the antics of Regnier and Rolland to get you ready for the season ahead.
