Best places for a coffee break in resort

This blog shares the best places for a mid-morning or mid-afternoon coffee break during a day on the Vallandry/Les Arcs slope. Read more.

There is nothing quite like a mid-morning or mid-afternoon break during a day on the slopes. You can loosen your ski boots, warm your hands, and chat about your favourite moments of the day so far whilst you enjoy a cup of something delicious.

Whether you love a rich hot chocolate or a cappuccino is more your thing, here are some of the best places to put your feet up during a ski/snowboard day.

Bistrot Savoyard
Located opposite the entrance to the Vallandry gondola, stop by at the Bistrot for a quick drink, and maybe a dessert.

Aux Enfants Terribles
Take the Vallandry gondola and ski the short distance down the Aux Enfants Terribles, where you can enjoy the view from the Panoramic terrace whilst you sip on a cold or hot beverage.

La Fragola Di Neve
At the bottom of the Derby chairlift, you will find La Fragola Di Neve, a relatively new bar restaurant where you can enjoy a view of skiers and snowboarders coming down the mountain whilst you warm up from the cold.

The Bulle Café
If you are a bit further afield, check out this cafe at the foot of the Aiguille Rouge. Enjoy a drink and snack in front of dramatic mountainous landscapes.

La Caverne
Of course, we could not tell you about the best places to have a drink without spotlighting our beloved Caverne. You can leave your skis/boards on the terrace whilst we welcome you into our cosy bar. We serve the classic beverages, from the humble latte to the traditional English breakfast tea to a fantastically fizzy Orangina, or you can try one of our specialty hot chocolates (with whipped cream and gooey marshmallows too!). If you are feeling peckish, we have sweet and savoury snacks, or you can hang around until lunch service and tuck into a fresh salad or hearty soup. Cuppa or a curry - the choice is yours!
