TRAIN

The train option we are able to offer this year is very similar to last season’s via Paris service. This year the Eurostar will depart Waterloo on Saturday, pick up in Ashford and onto Paris. It will then be necessary to take a taxi from Gare du Nord to Gare d’Austerlitz to join the sleeper train to the Alps. The taxi fare is approximately 25€ per journey and the supplement for this option is £80 per person onto of the air price. Please be aware as this is a scheduled service there will be no Ski Olympic representative at check-in or on either of the trains. You will then be met at your final destination station by Ski Olympic representative who will arrange your transfer to resort.

LUXURY OVERNIGHT COACH

This is still the number one option for many of our guests who appreciate the opportunity to be able to ski 71/2 - 8 days and pay up to £110 less (allowing for flight supplements) than those flying. Ace Eurotours are the coach operators we have used for two seasons now and proved very successful. Many factors have contributed to this success, fully reclining seats, extra leg room, calf supports, foot rests and the overall efficiency of Ace Eurotours. Add to these the video, central heating, air conditioning and courier service and you begin to see why the coach is so popular. The seating on the coach is arranged to have 44 seats upstairs (4 of which are around the table, the 2 rear facing do not recline), and 8 seats downstairs. There are an additional 4 seats arranged around 1 table which are used by the courier to serve you hot meals and snacks and those irresistible bacon rolls in the morning.

 

We operate 2 coaches each departing the UK on Saturday mornings; One departs from Manchester and one from Leeds, picking up from motorway service areas on the M6, M1, M25 and M2 and Dover Eastern Docks. The coaches then catch the 18.30 ferry crossing to Calais, join the autoroute and travel overnight to your final destination. The journey through France takes approximately 11 hours, arriving in resort between 9 and 11am (and just to think those flying will be sat in the departure lounge !!).

The coaches depart resort on the return journey between approximately 16.00 and 18.00 depending on the resort. Arrival time back in Dover is approximately 07.30, and return back to Leeds and Manchester at approximately 14.00.

SELF DRIVE

Self drive is again an option for those who enjoy the total flexibility of their own travel arrangements. We are able to book a channel crossing for you by either Eurotunnel, Dover/Calais ferry or you may arrange it yourself. Please see the information guide for self drive reductions and crossing prices.
